On YouTube, there's an old PSA Hanna Barbera made that I call "Scooby Doo Meets Jack Webb" where a guy takes a hit on a reefer and ages fifty years. Lynn thinks having a kid does that so of course they're scared shitless.
While to an outside observer, Lynn's parents made their home available for their daughter's wedding, and her mother devoted time, ingredients, and labor to making a wedding cake.
An aside: When my brother and I were little, our mom used to make three-layer wedding-style cakes as our birthday cakes. I recall my brother having purple frosting and plastic dinosaurs on one of his, and one of mine having white frosting and ballerina figures.
Lynn impresses me as never growing out of being an unhappy five year old angered and saddened that people hate her for no reason and expect her to do things that are boring or hard.

The outside observer would note that Lynn is not making any claim to having done any wedding preparation whatsoever. In the past, Lynn has mentioned that she frustrated her mother by treating her wedding just like it was any other party. I am beginning to think that Lynn had her mother do all the work for her first wedding and that's why she ended up providing the place and the entire reception.

HB cartoons are so unfunny that not even stoned people will laugh at them.

Lynn's Comments:
We get a sort of motive rant about why Lynn hates maternal involvement in weddings:
Gordon and Tracey’s wedding was much like my first wedding-my reception was in my parents’ dining room; my mom made all the sandwiches and the cake.
Clearly, Ursula jinxed the marriage by wading in where she wasn't wanted. Who was getting married, eh?
