She also seems to have an obsession with "good clothes", considering some of the crap they wear I have to wonder what her idea of "bad clothes" are. And since when did Michael NOT want Liz to get in trouble??

And why tell the kids not to watch TV? I thought you wanted them out of the way!

1) 'Bad' appears to mean comfortable, stylish and flattering.

2) Mike was put in charge of her so if she gets messy, it's his ass really on the line.

3) Deanna appears to think good children don't really want stimulation.

Lynn's Comments:

In today's Little Lindy Show, she boasts about being a disruptive moron who hated being told what to do :

In kindergarten, I turned a hide and seek game into a bit of chaos by taking off all my clothes in the closet where I was hiding. The teacher was not amused and expelled me from her class. I remember my mom accepting the news with resignation. I guess this had been “the last straw.”

Here's the problem with that story: Lynn does not explain why she took off her clothes for "hide and seek". Weird stories from Lynn Johnston with no reasoning as to why she did something. When Lynn told another ridiculous story about her youth, the element of truth was that she gave a reason. The reason was too stupid for the story to be believable, but at least she gave one. With this story, there is nothing. I believe this falls into the "This happened in real life when it really didn't" category.

Tuesday, December 21, 2010 Lynn's Comments:

Taking a gift to a favorite teacher was, for me, a significant gesture. I wasn't one to give a gift in order to be liked as much as it was a token of respect and affection. I've said before that I was not an easy kid to control and my teachers had to work hard to keep me in line. I think I remember every one of my elementary school teachers, as they played such a big role in my life. My second grade teacher Miss Campbell and I started out on the wrong foot. It doesn't make sense for someone as afraid of expressing discontent as her to play-act at being a Doukhobor. What makes sense is mumbling, grumbling and the occasional yelling that a person knows what they did.
