Lynn clearly misunderstood what Sparky meant by amusing herself.
If I can resist my urge to say the name that's popped into my head ever since Taxi aired when I listen to Tiny Dancer, she can quit using poor-to-impossible-to-translate wordplay.
The never did follow the translatable idea that they wanted. That's why I always had to remember that when they included all the countries her comic strip was in, it was mainly Stars and Stripes military newspapers.
Edgar absolutely can be broken, but "animals can't get hurt, I can't believe Farley died because that's not supposed to happen" is an actual philosophy of this strip.
And here we are with No Initiative Liz standing around like a shivering pillar of shit not stopping April from getting in trouble because no one told her to do something that she should do without having to be told. We saw where that
Because (as jjamele would probably tell us) Elizabeth can only follow the bad example she's been exposed to. What Elly has not realized is that she taught Liz that motherhood involves playing catch-up (and growling because something absolutely unimportant has to be put on hold)
Fourth strip: I still say the obvious way of handling that situation is cut a deal with the kid, tell him if he helps out with the chores he can pick a game for you both to play. Puts both you and him in a better mood and makes the time go faster.

yeah, why the hell didn't Liz either tell April to go back in the house or keep an eye on her?
