You are totally NOT fail or spam. Come on, your first time writing RyoShige and already the fic has such an inescapable RyoShige feel! You already know that I love that suitcase episode and that Shige didn't blow up at Ryo or anything, but rather settled the matter in a calm and loving manner <3 And for some reason I really like how you summarised Ryo's love life "He'd had his first kiss at age 8, first sexual experience at 15 and been steadily dating since he was 14".... Hmm details that make such a difference :)

And then of course the sense of lovely romance pervading this fic even though they don't do all those stereotypical champagne and bubbles stuff. It's real and warm and domestic and just portrays their relationship in such a comfortable and homely feel. Especially the part about Shige preparing iPod playlists... is just lovely.

I promise you you will definitely be writing more to gladden our eyes!

I don't remember but you probably did? :D And yes, you did tell me I had good author vibes, which made the idea of writing something that wouldn't disappoint even harder!! (And now it's going to be even harder to write a second fic...)

Haha, seems like the suitcase is becoming a favorite :] Shige's quite calm whereas Ryo's sort of temperamental sometimes so they strike a good balance in one another. The fic started out as just Ryo and Shige's life together but it was only 200+ words and Gem wouldn't let me post until it reached at least 400+ so, the rest is due to her pushing xD

Yes! It was the RyoShige drought that brought on prodding from Gem. There was a huge influx of RyoShige fics earlier on and then now authors seemed to have stopped. I've been dying for some RyoShige too x.x

I'm pretty sure I'll be writing more fics, only because Gem already said so above xD But thank you for reading and leaving such a nice comment!!

Ah Gem sensei is quite strict, ne? But it's why we love her haha

The suitcase was just. omg. Like a comic relief for the more serious tone of this entire thing. It's not like SUPER serious. It's light hearted but in a realistic sense where not everything is perfect and that is what I LOVE about some RyoShige authors. They just portray that so well.

So you saw the influx of RyoShige as well!!! So I WASN'T dreaming! haha I would write, but I'm so tied up with real life that I can only afford to read and relax with other people's fics. Would it work if I prodded you into writing more? Perhaps when the craziness eases up, I'll drabble a bit in exchange for your amazing fic? yes? haha

No, you're not dreaming it at all xD There is a total influx except suddenly they stopped writing again and no one is posting anymore. Saddened immensely. Ah, RL is a pain, I totally understand. Don't over-stress, leaving the writing to other people (I do not mean me!) and just relax a bit :] Oh exchange :D But darn, that means I have to write...

Interesting, I've never had people hound after me before. Gem doesn't count cos she doesn't really hound, she just persistently chases and not even really that much. :D How are you supposed to hound me? Haha, I rarely update my LJ in general so you can't comment hound xDD

Ryo does not finish Shige's sentences or thoughts. Nor does he have a magical sixth sense that tells him where Shige is or what he's doing at all times.

Awww, I love this line the most, only because of everything else that comes after it.

Seriously? This is your first Ryo/Shige? This is fantastic!

I love everything about this fic. It seems so realistic, and the way you describe them doing the little things for each other is so sweet, because those are the moments that count.I love 'the suitcase' and how Shige threw it at him, only to say that he's not going anywhere. OMG, I LOVE THIS FIC IN GENERAL.

I never thought I would have attempted RyoShige as my first NEWS fic but thank you for liking this!

Empty suitcase xD It cracks me up still. That was the basis of my idea for this fic, that Ryo and Shige are just normal people in a typically situation, no dying declarations of love or anything as dramatic as that.

Oh peer pressure! Eventually you're all hoping I'll cave and write huh? I don't have anything planned right now xD And this story actually formed in my head right as I was about to fall into bed at 4am! I ended up scrambling up again to write down whatever I could on a post-it that I stuck on my lamp. Woke up, the handwriting was illegible and I had pen marks all over xD

Damn them, they are really addictive. I never thought I'd attempt them first (I was a RyoPi fan for the longest time when I first entered NEWS fandom) but they've got some sort of magical vacuum power.
