I've becoming to love craigslist more and more these days. I'm selling stuff. And I'm looking to buy stuff - mainly a china buffet and hutch. What amazes me is how many people are selling tables and chairs. Not just any tables: DINNING tables. Like every other table is a DINNING table. Could a table really be that loud ( Read more... )

2) You deserve a medal! I could not do it at this point in the game. I'd give up.

5) I didn't read the LOTR trilogy or Ender's Game until I was an adult believe it or not! But definitely loved both. Easy reads are good in certain situations (airplanes) and also inbetween really good books. As for the other types: did you read "The Kite Runner?" That's like my new favorite book. But my favorite of all time is "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving.

I can not even begin to tell you how much I loved your taking a crap analogy!

Embrace the HP. Liking HP makes you COOL. COOL I tell ya! HOGWARTS 4EVER!!!!

The good thing about the toddler is she will get better. And yes it is going to take time and not be fun. When 14YO was 3 I used to call her "Demona Princess of Darkness". Shs is lucky she made it to 4.

Hmmm London. I will have to think about it. I was in the UK on business but was so freaking busy I got a car tour of London. I didn't even get out! Such a wonderful city though. One thing you need have to do when you are there is eat Crispy Duck. You can NOT get crispy duck like that here in the states. I have tried. It is so delicious. Also I am afraid of heights but I think going in the Eye would be fabulous for the view. My cousin really enjoyed it ( ... )

Oh and this doesn't really qualify as spelling but this woman keeps saying she used to be in Q and A. It's QA!!! QUALITY ASSURANCE. Q and A is QUESTION AND ANSWER. I don't know how she was in QA and gets this wrong. As a QA Analyst this drives me bat shit.

First of all, you love books... get a GOOD guidebook. I recommend the Lonely Planet or Time Out books. Don't get the "grandma's tourist traps for travelers" or something like that. Nothing says fun like waiting 3 hours in a line to see something you see on TV or every postcard, right? Find the hidden gems.

available everywhere I'm sure. They have maps in em.

Oddly one of our best recommendations came from an Italian lady who worked at a travel book store. She told us of this awesome restaurant that was very price but THEN told us about this cafe next door that was much more casual (ie locals) and served the same food for about half the price. it was awesome!

With that said:
1) lose. I'm loosing my mind over it. also rediculous ( ... )

well, we got a guide book that Jer's dad suggested - I just need to take the time to sit down with it. I guess that's what the airplane is for. :)

Yay for a working car!

Ha. You think you're a dork for rereading 5 and 6? My friend and I mapped out a schedule last month--books 1 and 2 in April, 3 and 4 in May, and 5 and 6 in June ( ... )

Loved, loved, LOVED The Green Mile. I cried my eyes out over that book! And then I told everyone to read it. I remember my brother coming out and saying "Mr. Jingles is ALIVE!!" :)

Thanks for the tips on London - I'll definitely use them. We are going to see the Mary Poppins musical since we've seen a lot of the others...

I highly recommend a bus tour of London. I take one each time I go and I learn something new each time.
