PUNISHMENT

PUNISHMENT
Congratulations, you've broken the rules! And those who break the rules need to be held accountable, so you've been taken away for punishment. Punishment can take a number of different forms, depending on the severity of your offense, and on your personality.

Minor punishments
Minor punishments consist of forced work, sedatives injected by your collars, and CP fines.
  • If you vandalize the property, you will be made to clean up your mess, and you will be drafted into janitorial work, without pay, for the rest of the week.

  • If you break curfew, either by staying out of your cell after 9PM or by staying in another inmate's room, you will be fined between 5000 CP and 50,000 CP. (This applies only to inmates in the A, B, and C blocks.)

  • Attacking a guard will result in a sedative being injected by your collar; you will be asleep for the rest of the in-game day. Repeated attempts will result in fines ranging from 20,000 CP to 100,000 CP. Please note that it is entirely possible to fall into a negative amount of money due to fines.

  • Attacking your fellow inmates will result in a warning; mass murder sprees will result in a fine ranging from 1000 CP to 10,000 CP. Sexual assault is an exception; attempting to sexually assault a fellow inmate will be treated the same as attacking a guard, with your collar sedating you and repeated attempts resulting in a large fine.

  • Suicide is against the rules; any inmate attempting suicide will be immediately sedated by their collar and will be asleep for the rest of the in-game day. No other punishment will be rendered.
Major punishments
Major punishments are given out for cheating at events. "Cheating" generally consists of deliberately losing (in which case the loser, and anyone they deliberately lost for, would be punished), interceding in an event one is not part of, and other various offenses that will be detailed with each event.

They can also be given out for repeatedly committing offenses that fall under the "minor punishments" category, at the warden's discretion. Major punishments are generally tailored to the character; they can be chosen at random by the moderators if the player so wishes, or they can be custom-selected by the player.

Some examples of major punishments include...
  • A penalty game (although if the inmates in question are being punished for cheating at Carnival Corpse, then the person who lost will have to undergo both a penalty game and a punishment);

  • Removal of memories, senses, emotions, etc.;

  • Implantation of memories or compulsions that would be disturbing to the character;

  • Removal of deadman abilities, if one has them;

  • Various sorts of physical and mental torture;
and other assorted fun things. If your character is up for a punishment and you'd like to inflict something on them that isn't on this list, feel free to suggest it and it will probably be allowed.
