Not how I really wanted to spend the second half of my four day weekend. I was up pretty late last night, because I tend to dwell on things that bother me ( Read more... )

Yes, let it go. I know this is ultra corny of me, but it took a lot for you to NOT get in a fight over some false pride than anything. Richy was in a situation similar to that and what ate him up after not fighting was just that, he didn't fight the dude. He was pissed off at being in MY car (a little ass Tercel instead of his Camaro), he was pissed at being shorter than the guy. He wanted SO bad to go back and tear his ass up 'cause I think it would have been a fair fight. Richy is nothing but pent-up rage since his teens. But I kept reminding him that the good guy always gets caught doing the wrong thing, he'd be the one who ended up in jail even though the guy was asking for it. That's just his kind of luck ( ... )

I always try to walk away from fights. And I also think this guy was trying to antagonize me into fighting him. You are right, I think if I did do something, it was going to be a one way ticket to jail for me.

And you are right, they win the little battles, but I wonder how this guy is going to turn out in the game off life 10 years down the road.

Damn though, my arms were like shaking because of how pumped up I was over this.

You are very right though, could have been a lot worse.

"yo, we mad punked this 6-4 dude, yo"

Whatever, at the end of the day, I still got scoreboard over them

A little bit of wisdom I learned long ago concerning the martial arts comes to light here once again.

"The more you know, the less you have to use it."

You did the right thing. You didn't create the situation, but you ended it without having to resort to violence.
Of course, if I was with you in that situation, and I saw that there were two opponents with unknown weaponry, I'd be wishing that I had my little Austrian friend with me. Sometimes it's worth it to get the carry permit in this state.
Not that I'm saying that you should get one. I don't know what your stance on gun ownership is.

Actually, since we both have taken martial arts, I have noticed that since I have started taking them, I haven't been in an actual fist fight.

I myself would never own a gun, but I can see how that can be a pretty decent deterrent.

On behalf of Yankee fans everywhere (Yankee hat on backwards), sorry.

It's guys like that that make me dislike being a fan sometimes... Like the morons in left field at YANKEE STADIUM who cheer for Matsui, "Hey! Come on there, Mitsubishi! HIt the ball Honda!"

I have to lump myself in a catagory with THESE knuckledraggers?

*shakes head*

Sigh.

Best of luck to both of our teams. Let's hope we DON'T see a replay of this summer or last October's fights. Just a good, clean, hard played series.

Well, I think he was wearing the hat to show everyone how he is hardcore and straight off the streets of Worcester. Actually, most Yankees fans are very enjoyable to talk to. They aren't myopic like other fans (read that how you will) and do have a good understanding of the game.

I really am hoping this is the year for the Sox. If they can't do it this year, I don't think they ever will.

Thanks for the kind words :-)
