I know I haven't been on in a while, but I had to write something. I just found out about filmmaker John Hughes' untimely passing. As he was involved with so many movies I dearly love ("The Breakfast Club", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Uncle Buck") I was a huge fan.

Very sad to find out he passed away.

Bad year to be famous...

R.I.P. David Carradine... Found hanging in a closet of his hotel room in Thailand.

Over the last month and a half, Sheila and I have gotten in and watched all five seasons of "The Wire". We had never seen a single episode, but had heard wonderful things about it.

They were all wrong.

It's true!

The surviving members of Python (Eric Idle, John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam) are reuniting for a six episode series called Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer’s Cut) which will air in October on IFC!

I have officially gone below 300 lbs. for the first time in 15 years today.

I weighed in at 298 this morning!

In other news, the 52 waist pants I bought two weeks ago are now about two sizes too big... I've gotta start looking at 46 or 48.

Oh, and I joined a softball team!
