Oops. I was supposed to get you recipes. Um, yea. I looked around our house and couldn't find the lime cookie one. But here's the love cookie recipe and a kickass pinapple upside down cake you should make and then share with people

The guys at my local running store have gotten *really* into those rubber-soled toe shoes. They say that once you train into them, your feet toughen up. One of them claims that he does all of his runs of < 6 miles completely barefoot (though maybe he just runs at a track?). If you could do that, I bet you could save a lot of money on shoes.
NB: As excited as I am about the idea of getting a pair of toe shoes someday, I don't recommend you actually do the majority of your running barefoot.
You know, it'd be really cool to have the kind of feet that shrug off a 20 mile jog over broken glass and rusty nails, but I'm thinking I'll stick to using footwear. Even if my feet got tough, I'd still need shoes to provide extra cushion to my knees.
