I'm deeply impressed with some new writing tools that my tech savvy husband brought to my attention. I've participated in NaNoWriMo twice now, and I loved the simple bar graph that measured daily progress toward the 50K word goal. Now I have something I can customize, like that, for my own projects. Whee!  Joe and I just booked our flights for our winter traveling.  We're going to Spain, to go rock climbing and to explore, then to the midwest for holiday family time.  We raided the library's travel section and have two months to do some seriously fun planning.  Tee-hee.

Today Joe and I tried to do what most unemployed people do: we went in search of free stuff. Like the 3rd Wednesday of the month free admission day at the Academy of Sciences. Yesterday I ran 16 miles then slept for 10 hours. I think there is a ratio of number of hours I get to sleep, to miles run the previous day. There's also a ratio of servings of ice cream I get to eat to miles run. It conveniently changes though based on how much I like the ice cream in front of me ( Read more... )

So about a week ago Joe and I came back from the rock climbing gym to discover a wet spot on the carpet. Oh boy. This came after a grueling weekend that Joe and I dubbed the Szechuan Typhoon Weekend From Hell.
