It was simply a bad first impression, and all was good after I spoke with him properly. Whilst I'd previously been introduced to the head of the lab, the technician didn't know who I was, and probably saw me as simply another anonymous skulking scientist. Looked curiously around the place whilst taking down notes is bound to make people look at you with interest.

I'll bring some of the red wax back with me... its smell is strangely addictve.
