The rennovation work on the Metallurgy building currently gives me no particular place to study. Instead, I've become part of the large and disorganised hot-desking society in Birmingham Uni's main library. The Early Intervention Service books each patient in for a brain scan, to see whether psychological problems are in fact caused by some physical imbalance or illness. There is this large and rather pungent Russian post-doc who works in my room. I could tell his position in the office simply from wafts of body odour. Bringing in a Glade Crystal Air may possibly hint at my disapproval, but it works none the less.
