Renji and Tsukimi are obviously fair game, ou can try and get me to write other people too if you like, but I don't know how far you'll succeed... Things were better when Simon was there, except he was still scared and ready to hide if something went wrong. If she went wrong. He watched her, knew when her medicine was making her feel sick. He didn't have to hide on the ship but he still did, tried to mother hen her when she came back from her university classes mumbling about theorems and what people thought about but didn't say.
It took a month where he tried to follow her around before she got so mad that she broke a trinket he'd bought when he went shopping.
“We're safe! Stop hiding!” She'd yelled, furious enough that she cut her hand on that silly little glass blue flower he'd bought for her. (She ruined things all the time and this was no different a little traitor voice in her head whispered)
“It's okay mei mei I know,” He fumbled for words, trying to make her release the glass. “I'll stop, just... just let go of that please. You're bleeding...”
She bit back another sob and obeyed and hoped this time he'd actually listen.
