Today, Jason's killer was sentenced to 20 years behind bars, plus 5 years of probation. The one-year sentence for the misdemeanor weapons charge is considered "time served".

He is eligible for a parole hearing after serving 17.

Understand your disappointment. Think even if they'd jail him for like 100 years and have him ass-rape daily with a broken bottle daily, it still wouldn't be enough. There can never be a price high enough for a life taken.

Been following your journal for a while and just want to say that you are one brave woman to go through all this and come out the otherside still punching. Kudos to you. Also being a stong believer in karma, the lowlife described above will be asked to pay his dues and them some - probably won't get out in one piece with any luck.
