I know this issue is starting to get exhausting to read, but I think Professor Bainbridge found a similarity between all of the objects:

They are all small or light enough to be easily carried. Given that students are not allowed to enter the other House's dormitories, it's possible that the perpetrator is someone's pet... Perhaps a cat or even an ( Read more... )

Not a bad conclusion. You might want to check the owlry as well..it's a barn and a cat or owl would find it a good place to hide things.
