Depending on how many stories get posted, it might even be better to spread them over a week. Authors will have put in a lot of effort, it'd be a shame if people just don't have time to read all the stories.

Absolutely! Three days was a tentative bid. But like you said, it depends on how many stories we get. We'll see what happens. :)

I'm getting nervous... I have... 6,000 words written and when I get a burst of creativity it only lasts for a couple hundred words or so. :(

Oh dear god. That means I have to write almost 1000 words a day now. Or, more likely, it'll be 5000 words a day in a panicked rush at the end of the month.

P.S. Wow with the dissenting opinion on this one. I want them all at once so I can decide right from the beginning which ones I want to read first. What if the first third of the alphabet only writes NSync? (I know, I know, but WHAT IF?) What if I have lots of time to read on Monday, but no time on Tuesday or Wednesday, and have to WAIT? ACK.

There'll be a master post once everything's posted no matter which option we go with, so if you want you can wait for that so it'll be easier to see what's available to read. I hope that works!

I do see your point. Personally my main fear with posting everything on the same day (if it's, say, 30 stories that get completed) that a lot of them will end up being overlooked and readers will feel overwhelmed with so many options. And the stories won't go anywhere once the three days are up, so if people get tired reading the first day they can always come back later. Also, I'll be sure to make a master post once everything has been posted, so readers can bookmark that if they like and just go down the list.

I don't know, I see advantages and disadvantages with both options, but in the end I have to go with whatever the majority decides.

I highly doubt readers are going to lose steam for reading the stories all on the first day. And there won't be a list 1, 2 and 3. There'll be one master post, which, if people prefer to have all stories available at once, they can wait for that one after the three days have passed.

Feel free to email me if you want to discuss this any further, but that still doesn't change that I'm going to go with whatever the majority prefers.
