New LJ Friends?

How do you even go about getting new friends on here anymore?

All of the communities I was originally a part of are dead. I have a small handful of friends that still post here.

But overall, I hear a lot of crickets.

Short of getting lucky and finding people still on here (hi!), or finding a group that somehow is still growing, and befriending some of those people, I'm really not sure. LJ seems to be on a downward slide.

I have tried some of those with very little success - I get added and then unadded a lot. Probably because I don't post everyday.

It's very sad and lonely here. I've made an active attempt to update because some things in my brain and life just don't need to be on Facebook.

Yes. This is very true. I feel like FB is much to abbreviated as well. Which is why I am trying to return to LJ.
