I started cardio again today, and, actually, it felt very good. I'm not in very good cardiovascular shape, but I'm still good at taking long walks, and I'm starting back up on the elliptical...I'm staying away from lifting weights, unless I start waking up at 2:00am again, but lots of cardio seems safe enough.

I was awake until 11:00pm last night, and slept in. This is the kind of sleep pattern I need to go out. If this keeps up, I'll be extremely happy. I would love to go see live music several nights per week again.

If I can sleep until 9:00 or 10:00, even better. I'll be up until 1:00am.

I slept for ten hours last night. I woke up at 6:30am. I'm kind of optimistic that I'll resume the sleep patterns I had in my twenties, of sleeping very deeply for a really long time. It's so much better than the crappy sleep I had for many years.

Nutrition and gut health are everything.

It does look like my sleep returned mostly to normal. I woke up, again, at 5:00 am for the past week.

I did some cardio and my sleep didn't get messed up, so although I think I will wait a very long time before returning to weight lifting, I might start doing lots of cardio and intervals. I used to do lots of cardio when I was living in Bothell, ( Read more... )

For the past week I woke up at 5:00am. I'm SO optimistic that this means that my sleep is going back to normal, and I would be SO excited to be able to go out at night again. I would just love to go see some funk or something, or go out for a nice dinner, without getting sleepy at 6:00pm.

I'm eating extremely healthy foods today, after eating crap for the past week. I still haven't been working out because weight lifting was making it impossible for me to stop gaining weight, but I'm not really losing any muscle. I read that if you're very fit, it can take years to lose the muscle, and that fits my experiences a lot more than most ( Read more... )

Every time I quit using whey protein, I come to realize that having it missing from my diet is a bad thing. It's hard because you have to mix it with stuff, so it's a little bit of a pain, especially when you're busy, but it works super well.

I love carrot juice. It seems to totally clean out my liver. I guess you're not supposed to have too much, but I drank an entire bottle of the stuff, and I also ate some liver, which is supposedly good for the liver. Maybe I'll die of a vitamin A overdose, but I feel much better.

I woke up at 1:00 am today, after a sound sleep.

I went to get coffee at Starbucks, and everything was frosty everywhere. I am so looking forward to snow. I wound up just driving around, looking at frost.

It is so relaxing in the early morning, with no traffic, and time to meditate.

I'm feeling very creative these days, with my health being so much better. Not running around with bad gut health has really done a number on my head, changed my personality, and made my thinking clearer than it has been in several years.
