I should stop being so tempted to begin livejournal posts with "I should post more often." Somehow posting on livejournal is lower on list of priorities. Over the long weekend, I was on the Gold Coast keeping my poor post-surgery girlfriend company basically - this time she didn't need so much help with things, but she's still kind of fragile. damnit, they'd only just opened when I went there and didn't have the pan-galactic gargle blaster yet. the curly fries were nice with the green mayo and I had a milky way mocktail. I thought the background was a little disappointing though.

If I'm ever on the Gold Coast again - i'll go halves on a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster, I'm game! Also, if I'm on the Gold Coast for some reason I'll probably need it ;-)

oh, I didn't know you were there! I should have assumed though. We were standing kind of between Stuart and Sarah, maybe 8-9 rows of people back? Danny Yau and friends were around us too.

How much did Stevie Jackson look like early Elvis Costello in that snappy suit!

When they did that song with the girl on the Melbourne Saturday gig they actually got two girls up: it was a "you get one you get us both" sort of thing. Stuart and Stevie remarked that the song then wasn't really going to work as they would then both have a girl and be content. They had lots of fun dancing with both of them, anyway!

I thought Stevie looked great as well: I couldn't put my finger on it until a guy from work who went to the Sunday show asked me, "When did Peter Sellers join the band?".
