After my purchase of trip insurance this afternoon, I would have to say we are mostly sorted and ready for the longest vacation I have taken since my childhood. Lots of tucking and sorting needed to be done to this itinerary, but I think it's mostly set, yet will allow for some flexibility for some limited changes on the fly if necessary. There's a plane that flies to Holland within an hour from London. Come visit two bears, I'd say :)!

Here I thought I'd see you guys at CFz when I first thought about going. Stupid luck this time. Another European trip could happen the following year with any luck though. :)

As for Edinburgh accomodation...I MIGHT have a suggestion for you if you can hang fire for a day?

I recommend it purely because it was very luxurious, but also cheap. However, after talking to my friend it seemed they got it cheap purely because of a special offer, so this might be a little out of your price range :(

Failing that, if you're looking for cheap and cheerful, try some hotels in North Queensferry. It is close enough to Edinburgh centre (a single train stop away) but far enough away to attract some better prices.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that part as well! I've never been there and Tina's only been there once. I'm sure we'll be keeping ourselves busy!

Thanks! Quite excited about the trip! It's rare that we can get that much time off at the same time and visit an interesting country. :)
