The "new carpet" aspect should help, ditto the fresh paint that they didn't manage to knock off.

With the little bedroom in particular, I'm working on the principle of "I've replaced all the other damaged carpets in the house - including the one YOU damaged by shutting my cat in there - do you really think I would have left this one like this and not replaced it?!"

If you look at the date, this all happened back in January - it all got sorted out eventually and I got my full deposit back :-)

Don't worry - I didn't even see your last post! I just realised I was having trouble finding the time to keep up to date with people I know in RL on LJ, and only have net access at work makes it difficult to find the time to read everyone's journals. :-( And I like to be able to comment and pay the right amount of attention to people, so I did a bit of a clean out. I will stay in touch with you on facebook, though! x
