Title: Burning the Past Author: black_goose Fandom: Fushigi Yuugi Pairing: Tasuki/Nuriko Word count: 578 Rating: PG-13 Summary: Tasuki learns to let go.
Oh. FY was the first anime I saw ever, and that was my favourite not-quite-pairing. Hours spent crying, I swear -____-" Thank you for this beautifully written sad and romantic fic, I was really glad to read it even though I'm not much into anime right now (SuJu boys ate my brain).
FY was the first manga I ever read, and the first anime I watched when I came back from Japan, and there's literally a post from around the time I watched it, around a year and a half ago, which is simply NURIKO ;______; in huge, scrolling letters. His death will still make me cry now, although it's only when Tasuki starts screaming at him that I honestly am in floods. Everyone who I made watch it had exactly the same reaction.
And now everyone who watched FY with me is also obsessed with Suju. Is this a rite of passage?
Ahhh... and that part when in the end of the series Nuriko appeared again to save Miaka (and happy music played on the backstage)... I watched it like... 5? Maybe 6 years ago, and still can cry in all right moments =) Almost all of my friends (excluding my sister) are in love with anime and don't care about j- or k-music, unfortunately (because I like to discuss such topics and have no company =____=")
I have brilliant friends who will try whatever I'm currently liking, sometimes even more than I do. One of my friends completely fell in love with Nuriko and I kept telling her "You won't like episode 32, make sure you watch up to there at least," and she nearly killed me the next day because I hadn't told her why she had to get up to that episode.
