I saw open heart surgery today. An aortic valve replacement, to be exact.

It was single-handedly the most amazing thing I have EVER seen. Which isn't saying much, but STILL. The patient was dead for two hours while we fixed his aorta. And then we brought him back to life! Simply amazing. I can't even describe it. I'm pumped and all I did was watch

I gave blood today! YEAH. I was really afraid of doing it, but it wasn't that bad. And I probably saved some lives. Woot.

So, I went with Michelle to see 27 Dresses last night with my free movie passes (yeah, my programs win me stuff... woo, RAing ( Read more... )

Of course the one day I decide to wear a skirt is the WINDIEST DAY IN HISTORY.

Ugh. Oh well, slacks it is. Now I'm off to the hospital to pick my patient and do beaucoup amounts of paper work. And silently rejoice at my uncurved 77 on the first Adult 1 test. That's the highest score I've heard so far... and who knows! Maybe it will become a B...

I love how my flist is almost one-track minded.

Every single post has had to do with Harry Potter for the past few days. AWESOME. I can't wait. I'll be in line for my copy at midnight... and then no sleep 'til work on Monday if that's what it takes! :)

It needs to stop freaking raining. I mean, seriously, now it's just pissing me off because the clock is ticking before I have to go to Fort Worth and I won't even get one lake trip? WTF?

My healthcare provider CPR class is all registered for... there goes $50 and one of my few remaining Saturdays.

Fate is cruel. The timing is all wrong.
