I'm so sorry to hear of John's fall and injuries. What an awful shock, both for him, and for you and Charles. My best wishes to John for a quick recovery. I hope he will be home again soon.

As for feeling valued, I'm sure there are plenty of other things you can get involved with that don't take up so much time and effort. I shall speak to Ma (although she's just resigned from the 50+ Management Committee due to the new Chairman being a complete wazzock). But, as I regularly said to her, it's OK doing things as long as they don't take you away from actually living your life. You still need time to do things for you.

I hope they can sort John out soon and work out what all this fainting is about.
In the meantime, perhaps he should restrict himself to reading paperbacks for a while, poor chap.
