I've started... trying... to run. like, run around. for excercise. I kind of hate it, and that's kind of the point. but I'm pretty convinced that after a little while I'm going to start to be very glad I started ( Read more... )

I also hate running, but keep hoping to enjoy it and hope that it will eventually make me more healthy.

I still hate it, but found out that I still really enjoy biking. So, I've started biking 4 days a week and running 3 days a week. I figure, if I can't semi-enjoy it, I'll never keep it up! =P

So far I've been doing it for a month, and have only missed 3 days because I was ill or my day was too busy. I think the biking is what made the running way more tolerable.

haha I definitely hate biking more than running. and I know that makes me really unhip but oh well. I wish rollerblading were cooler!
it's great that you have something you do every day though! I'm lucky if I bring myself to do it three times a week!

Haha, you should rollerblade, then! Believe me, if you saw me biking, you'd know there's nothing hip about it ;)

I know that the only reason I keep at it is because I enjoy it. Just do what's fun!

I hate running too! and hope to get better with that. can you clear enough space in your room to dance and stretch? you don't need that much space, just kick everything out of the way and it's all good. that way nobody can see you, and you can be super lame, and still have a lot of fun. also if you have nice winter boots, you can bundle yourself up and run in the winter. I just mean like running home from the bus, or from here to there or wherever. cause everyone goes inside early, you're totally bundled up so nobody can see you, and you almost have to run just to stay warm!

haha I totally dance around in my room all the time. but once my roommates move into this new apartment, I'm not sure if I'll have the space anymore... it's all tiny in here.
oh and as for the winter, I'm lucky and I have a gym at school, which is right across the street! so I can go there anytime pretty much! that's a good idea though!

I haven't seen you in a long time and it's all wrong. but hopefully we will be reunited one day soon!

I hated running... I still kind of actually physically hate having to pace myself and put myself on display for the whole neighbourhood and all that... But when the right song comes on and I want to pick up the pace and really just have some fun with it, I like knowing that I'm fit enough to do that. I like knowing that I have the stamina and ability to keep myself going for over 7k (working my way up to 10!) and I like having more energy and just ultimately feeling like I'm in shape.

So as much as I hate running, I'm completely addicted and love the way it makes me feel. Granted, this is after three years of doing it. =P

7k, wow! it's really great you've stuck to it for so long. you must be like me, I pretty much go for a chance to listen to music and exert some energy with it. like you know how sometimes you'll be listening to something and it's SO AWESOME but you can't do anything about it because you're in a chair... it sucks, but you could be running and using that excitement for something!
