Tonight I got the cuffs on the sleeves and the buttonholes sewn. My goal for tomorrow is to either set the sleeves or mark and sew on the buttons. Should be doable, but my oldest is sick. So who knows how my night will go. -

Decorating woes

I have no energy. By the end of the day I can’t even stay up to watch tv for half an hour. 6 weeks to go. At least I seem to be healthier this time around. Color thoughts
Last year I bought a pair of bridesmaid shoes to remake as 18th century shoes( I know many of you got the same ones) I had the store dye them red for me before delivery, and it came out very bright. Too bright. Do you think I could tone it down by tea staining them? Or over dyeing with wine? -
Black Friday
I saw this silk on sale and thought it looked like an 18th century ikat. But in person, I'm not so sure. Thoughts? What else could I use it for?

Persephone dress

I'm prepping for Black Friday and it's making me think about my costuming plans for the next few months. I finished the large motifs for the black dress. It only took forever. Next, I'm going to scatter smaller flowers and spangles over the skirt then finish it with a border at the hem.
