Life seems to constantly have a way of reminding us of who is the boss. Thoughts of love and sympathy go to you, your Mom, and the rest of your family from Meli and me.

You said, "My mother is very strong... I'm not. But, I will be!"

Dear K, you are a great daughter, wife, Mother, and friend. Those attributes show your strength and character. You have also dealt with your own problems, physical and emotional, work and domestic, while dealing with and experiencing the tribulations that surround your life. I admire your tenacity and hope that I, when it's time to deal with life's sorrows, will be able to pull up from the depths of my soul the inner strength that you so obviously possess.

We love you,
M&M

BTW, we can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks! Your LJ entry reminded me of recently trying to get my Father to fill in blanks on our family tree so that his grandchildren can get a sense of their heritage. It becomes all too real, when confronted with mortality, how much family history can be lost, roots forgotten.

You are right... I can be very strong... sometimes I don't feel very strong, but, I try... my doctor says that some of the things that have happened to me only really happen to strong people, because they CARE about what is going on in their lives and they care about other people...

I actually have a book on geneology that some distant cousin or uncle wrote on the Schillings - it goes right up to, I believe, the birth of Amber (which amazed me) My brother was working on one from my Dad's side of the family, but, not sure what happened to that... I shall investigate too!

Thank you, thank you, thank you

My dear friend, You are SOOOOO much stronger than you think you are. As so eloquently written by our dear Melinda and Michael, you have shown your strength and tenacity in so very very many ways. By the mere fact that you continue to fight to continue shows the strength and depth of your convictions. It is so easy to just throw your hands up in the air and say "I just can't take it anymore". But, you my dear lady, continue to fight to make you and the situation better. That takes an enormous amount of will, strength and determination. If you sometimes forget, we, all here, who love you, will continue to remind you of what a wonderful, strong, and courageous lady you are. BIG "Hugs* and much much love and condolences to you and your family.

CANNOT WAIT to see you as well. Wish you could be here for the Bachelorette party. You will definitely be missed. But will be able to see you the next weekend so that helps.

I will email you about closing weekend. It was so much fun but sad at the same time. And terrible that Wade got hurt. It really was a pretty nasty gash in his mouth. But he got GREAT kudos from cast and they are very very sad that he will not be coming back next year and will miss him. That was so nice to hear, I am sure. He did a fabulous job and everyone had so much fun on Team Evilty because of it.

BIG *hugs* and see you in a couple of weeks. WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Oh, Kat, I'm so sorry.

My mother was just here, talking about the settling of my grandmother's estate, her plans for retirement, looking into the future as far as her health, getting around, etc. I'm glad she's thinking about it, but it was hard to wrap my mind around.

*HUGS*
