Let's all give a big "thank you" to the great state of Alaska. If they manage to re-elect Ted Stevens - a man convicted of corruption - to the Senate, they will have made New Orleans' decisions to return William Jefferson (with a mere indictment on this record) to office look mild by comparison.

Thank you, people of the Land of the Midnight Sun!

And let us please not forget to thank them for Palin, who has exposed the corrupt underside of the GOP for having ever gotten in bed with the religious right. As long as they continue this affair, they do not deserve political power in this country.

Alaska is a lovely state though. Much senic beauty.

They can't really hold a candle to us when it comes to corruption. They are really amateurs in that field.
