A New Blog
I have decided to start a blog to record my trials with my wife being 3000 miles or so away from me. It is a blog to record my twists and turns of being alone with our four cats, Little Guy (better known as Doofus), Penny, Chloe and Baxter. So bear with me as I go about trying to keep our house in one piece and going. -

Did you ever get the feeling that you're not good at something? I love having my bosses tell me about quality issues three weeks after they have occurred. Then they ask me why I haven't asked them why I am not welding. Winter blahs
They're talking about MORE winter weather for this week. But there is hope in sight, there is, supposedly, a big warm-up by the end of the week. They are talking about upper 50's and possibly 60 by the weekend. Would be nice. But where is all the snow supposed to go? Weather
I'm tired of being cold. I'm tired of winter and want spring to come NOW. Someone needs to kick that Polar Vortex back to the North Pole!

Doings
Got a surprise yesterday at work. My boss was going over the assignments for the day and he stated that I was welding the CTA sliding panels. My reaction? I looked around to see if he was referring to a different person. I had been circular sanding parts for painting for the last two days and really didn't expect to be welding. Surprise! Technology
I am posting this via my IPhone. Decided to see if the app worked or not. Looks like it does. Which is great because there are things that I don't want to post on Facebook but really want to post. So I will be using LJ. It is a lot more private.

Job
Well, I got a call from my old job (you know, the one that shut us out in late September). It seems that they have reopened and wanted to know if I wanted my old job back. Just like nothing happened. Two weeks
It has been two weeks since I got shut out of my job and had to go on unemployment. I need to go to the Pennsylvania L&I office to see if I can get any help from them in the form of grants or other monetary sorts so I can get some more training with my welding.
