It's really starting to feel like the end. My suitcases are packed to the point of exploding, and I will be wearing my enormous down jacket and hiking boots on the plane for lack of any other way to bring them home. All the photos and notes are down from the walls in my and Charlotte's room so it looks sad and empty, and, worst of all, Lea and Kim ( Read more... )

The End of One Adventure, The Beginning of Another anonymous May 11 2007, 16:28:18 UTC
It almost doesn't seem possible that this amazing adventure is coming to a close and that you are coming home for a brief respite and then will be off to another adventure. Your stories have been amazing and I look forward to hearing about the experience in Alaska. Have fun tonight and tomorrow and safe travels on your way home. With your heavy down parka and hiking boots you are going to look like a yetti getting off the plane :).

Lynde

PS. Are you doing something with Bingo to say good-bye? He is going to miss you.

Thanks for a great Blog this year anonymous May 11 2007, 17:04:45 UTC
Hi Blair,

This is Raleigh Philp and I have so enjoyed keeping up with you this year. Your perspective and fullness of life at the tender age of 19 is very embracing to parent and friend. Your writings indicate a wordsmith in the making and a very talented young woman who has lots to give this ole world. Very refreshing indeed... As you enter the hallowed halls of Colby (I went to Boudoin College for a while in another life) think back to your influencial writings as you dug snowcaves and trained Bingo during a great year of growth.

My best to you Blair and thanks for the great stories.

Blair!

Although I don't know you too well, I have been reading your journals, and really! they've been fascinating. I love reading them, I can't imagine how sad you are to leave, it seems like an experience like none other. I really hope you do keep blogging, it would def. create a really impressive travel journal? someday...Anyways, best of luck with everything else. Hope maybe to see you around someday!
