MRI and leg pain

A week after I was supposed to be called to schedule an MRI, I finally got scheduled and had three studies done of my left leg last night (one of the knee, and two of the calf, one with and one without contrast

They definitely gave me the impression that if my doctor had ordered pain meds, they would have had pain meds for me. I will keep that in mind the next time a doctor says I need an MRI. I suggest you do, too.

The pain was temporary, and I knew it would end soon. That made it bearable. But pain mitigation next time (if there is a next time) is important.

I'm willing to bet that having your knee forcibly hyperextended and kept that way wasn't very good for it. (And the contrast probably contributed to it.)
