My offering has been accepted as genuine, it would seem. There was some question of its validity, you see. I believe they were expecting something grander and more defined. Nuance is too often undervalued ( Read more... )

You are definitely separate from your brothers, and your father.

For that you are very fortunate. I am glad things continue to progress, even if it must happen from that prison.

Though the prison is not comfortable, it is an appropriate place of business in some regards. What is a prison but a reminder of Ministry-imposed discipline? And now the Ministry no longer wields that discipline. You know what it is that I imply.

Are you well, cara?

Indeed, I do.

I am doing very well. I feel I have infinite free time, but the end of the term looms with certain tests one must face. I have diligently spent many hours in the library researching, accordingly.

I do hope you have received my last owl. I know the mail can sometimes be dodgy between here and there.

Trust me when I say that your free time would not be so infinite, were I there.

I did indeed. The creature was exhausted and disheveled, but did its job admirably.

Hello Blaise. I imagine you've heard by now that we won the match against Hufflepuff without you, though I was looking forward to celebrating our victory with you present, truthfully.

Living in Azkaban might be worth it if only to avoid dreadful detentions with Potter, Weasel, Weasley, and Granger. Dumbledore has us doing carpentry, of all things. Without magic. Sawdust is a blight on humanity.

I did not hear directly, but I gathered. Congratulations. And there will be other victories to celebrate together in the future, yes?

You are of course inclined towards carpentry even without magic, I am sure.

Yes. You can be assured of that.

I'm hardly inclined in the way that peasant stock would be, but I do have a flair with the saw. If you wave it around just right, you can make music with it.

I am glad to be assured on such matters.

You've always had a way of making the best of unpleasant situations. More people should commend you for this.

I SQUASHED MY THUMB WITH A MUGGLE HAMMER!!!!

I heard about the carpentry. How dreadful. Will you have to use the hammer very much longer?

NO!!!! I'VE GIVEN IT TO THE SQUID!!!!

What will you use for hammering now?

You could always just make Draco hammer. Make him give you the saw. It makes music if you wave it around just right.

You left at a very inconvenient time for me, Mr. Zabini. I had hoped I could make you a better flier.

I think you helped me to improve immensely during the short time we had together.

I think we both learned a lot. Thank you.

Should you need any other lessons, I'm sure we can arrange something.
