I'm pretty sure that I have actually come up with something that no one else has. If nothing else, I like to imagine that I can articulate ideas well enough that people can at least credit me with being able to eff the ineffable.

Do I care? Sure, yeah, okay. I like to do it and that's all I really care about. Is it meaningless? Maybe. The meaninglessness of it is more meaningless that the meaningful thing, itself. Even e. e. cumming could call that shit.

Recall the Buddhist doctrine of emptiness. If everything is empty, then isn't emptiness, itself, empty? Isn't suffering empty? Isn't the pervasiveness of suffering empty? If the point is that nothing matters, then even the not-mattering of things doesn't matter.

Actually, you got it wrong too. No moment is beautiful. There is no moment but this and nothing can be "beautiful" without a basis of comparison. It is the comparisons themselves that lead to desire and suffering etc. One is supposed to stop comparing things and accept the moment because that's all there is. It's not a good moment to be cherished or a bad moment to loathe, its just a moment.

You have two choices. Pick a fight, no matter how futile or pointless it may be or sit on the outside looking in, pointing your finger and laughing at all the silly people trying to make things meaningful all by yourself.

Life only has the meaning you give it. Most folks don't choose to "fight the good fight" because they take themselves so seriously. They choose to participate regardless of the consequences in the face of struggle, hardship or defeat (which they also help to create). There is really nothing else to do here. Life IS fucking meaningless. It IS all shit. You can live that truth to the fullest extent, or you can pick a team and have some fun before you die of boredom.

The world is yours to make of it what you wish, it would be a shame to spend it looking down on others for doing just that.
