Why don't the ppl who believe you are alive from the moment of conception celeibrate ppl's conception day instead of the birthdays?

I assume you've heard Tom Smith's "Happy Conception Day"?

It's a good idea, but since most people only know their approximate C-day, it may not work so well in practice.

Yeah like rachelann1977 says it's almost impossible for them to figure out your exact day of conception. Unless you happen to get pregnant the one time you have sex in between cycles or something (though if you're actually trying you're probably having it more often than that).. in which case you could narrow it down based on that. Otherwise they kind of just make an educated guess based on measurements during your first ultrasound.

I'm not sure (probably because most people don't know the exact day), but this sounds like a good topic for Shoebox to use as a sequal to I'm Gonna Procreate!

I figure it like this:

It's because, honestly, *THEY DON'T*. It's a belief, created by the hierarchy, for the purpose of reducing unwed sex. If they could figure out a way to label contraceptives murder, they would do that also. So, they shove down to their parishioners a policy, and, being the good little sheep they are, they back it.

They don't think about it. They don't integrate it into a logical whole. They have been told that it is attached to religion, which they have "belief" about, and therefore they aren't supposed to try to understand, think about, or otherwise nit-pick it.

So, unlike people like you, and me, who think over every belief, for all it's aspects and influences, they only consider what is directly required to refute anyone protesting their belief. Just like you would expect of good little sheep.
