when a boy asks a girl, "would you like to go out sometime?" does that mean like on a date?

In middle school, it meant that they wanted to hold your hand and sit with you at lunch.

I think 'go out' has taken on such an informal meaning that it surely doesn't always mean a date. Men are quite careless with their words. Words are dangerous.

i agree with brad... i think that it depends on what kind of guy it is and how they said it...who asked you?

I asked two boys and their responses were the same "...duh...unless they're gay."

i doubt he is gay, however that would be pretty neat. i like gay guys a lot, you can hang out all day with them and not worry about giving them the wrong impression. hahaha, its true.
