i can't comment on your experience with site, not knowing it, or even what dating's like for women, but i *can* flatly state that after 9 years here in OKC (from miami, fl), i also don't what to say about this city. except that your second sentence made me go "whaaaaaat??" hipsters and weirdos are definitely not tolerated here, as i've well discovered. at least not like back in miami. maybe it's a race thing, i dunno. maybe it's white hipsters and weirdos that aren't tolerated (maybe being expected to toe some line or something). in it's favor, i will say OKC is more race tolerant than miami. i didn't realize how intolerant miami was (or still is) until i got here & saw skillions of biracial couples happily shopping or whatnot without any selfconsciousness or worries. i loved that. it was later though when my weirdness apparently was detectable and generally not approved. i began to feel like folks could tell i wasn't from around here. eek! thunder. better hit the post comment button quick. anyway, that's all i can say. good luck &

i wasn't talking about oklahoma, "okc" is short for OKCupid, the dating site.

you know, miami has always struck me as a place where bigotry would run rampant, with people trying to stay beach-and-party-approved, tan thin and young. i hear more and more often that there are places in the traditional south and midwest that are high on tolerance for "decent folks" of any color, but eccentricity is still given the side-eye as they say.

i am most definitely a weirdo, and not to everyone's taste (got de-friended today, but that's probably mostly my fault for moving too slow). anyway i have hope for what i laughably call my future love life. i seem to have gotten a second wind in the living department.
