I tell too many "you had to be there" stories. And the problem is that I don't realize it's that type of story until I'm 3/4 of the way through telling it. And I feel really awkward once I realize in my head that my story sucks so I try and spice it up some. Which yes, that does mean lying my ass off. Here's an example -
