Isabel had been half dozing, half listening to one side of the phone calls.

During a lull in the calls, she opened one eye and peered at Wyatt. "Do I want to know who's calling and how they're related? Or is it going to break my brain?"

"Here," Wyatt said, handing her the phone. "You have to talk to Phyre. Really."

"Hiya, Aunt Izzy," Phyre said cheerfully. "How comes you're visiting Uncle Wyatt?"

"Because I needed a break from school?" Isabel offered, slightly afraid of why she'd need a reason.

"School?" Phyre asked. "But you plan big parties. In London."

[izzyalienqueen]

"You never stop learning," she said quickly, trying to cover. "So I'm going back to school for a while. Besides, London's too rainy."

"Yeah, Daddy always complains about that too when we come to visit you and Aunt Parker."

Isabel's eyebrows raised as she glanced towards Wyatt. "Me and Aunt Parker?"

"Uh huh," Phyre said. "Papa orbs me and Daddy and Aunt Summer and Aunt 'vannah and Dalton to England to see you guys and then to Ireland to see Uncle Wyatt and Uncle Ronan!"

Despite not knowing who Dalton was, after a moment or two Isabel was pretty sure she was able to figure out who Papa and Daddy were. And then then she processed the rest of the couples.

Hopefully she'd be able to talk in a few minutes.

After she stopped laughing.

"What's so funny?" Phyre demanded.

[izzyalienqueen]

"Uncle Wyatt's just making funny faces," Isabel answered, figuring that she didn't want to hear that Isabel found that particular bizarro universe amusing. "You know how he can be silly."

"Oh, okay," Phyre said. "So is Aunt Parker there too? And Uncle Ronan?"

"Nope. They've got things to do unfortunately," she replied. "So it's just us."

"I found Daddy in bed with Aunt 'vannah this morning," Phyre shared. "And they had kids together. And Papa has another kid. So does Aunt Summer."

"Papa has another kid? And Aunt Summer?" Isabel flailed a bit, remembering Wyntyr they year before and thinking of that weekend they all preferred NOT to think about.
