Not sure about the popularity. I haven't peeked in at the fandom, but I never got the impression from general discussion that it was the underdog 'ship.

Haven't heard from her since March 2010. The only way I know she's alive is that I know the name of her other livejournal and am aware of some of the vague details of the other life she's living. It's a long story.

Their wedding was really *tearwipe* worthy. I watched the Subtle Sexuality music video today which got me thinking about The Office and...wow. BADNESS.

I was on the waiting list at the library for that first book and by the time it got around to me (thirtieth in line) I forgot all about it. Is it good enough to just purchase outright?

I also didn't want to spend the $ so I compromised and bought the series on Kindle for iPhone (EVEN THOUGH I HATE E-BOOKS BECAUSE I LOVE *ACTUAL* BOOKS) and it was worth the $5.

It's very adult themed, brutal, and a great story...just written to be more appropriate for the YA readers. But yeah, really good. Cannot. Wait. for the movie(s). Jennifer Lawrence ("Winter's Bone) is playing the lead.
