name change

A very long time ago I wrote about wanting to change my username. I just dislike how my current name has "girl" in it. I could never think of a name, but after reading Tess of the D'Ubervilles, and liking it, I was thinking the name blighted_star could be interesting - it's mentioned in the book in a scene I really enjoyed. I like it. It is not fandomy unless you encounter other HUGE fans of the book.
Most won't get where it is from or what it means. (I sure didn't.) Don't get how it is depressing. Not girly.

I don't think you got to that scene yet. If you look up "blighted" in the dictionary, it's not a very happy meaning. I thought it'd be girl because of "star," but "blighted" sort of negates that.

I'll have to think of what would be a fitting name for you.

Still a unique name. Bet you wouldn't have to add numbers.
