I always thought that not believing in an afterlife would psychologically cripple me in the long run. Well that hypothesis was put to the test last week in quite an abrupt way. Fortunately it turns out that the mind has a very unique way of adapting to these things and so actually knowing, in my own belief, that the end is the end makes my memories
