big ole friday
So I'm a little bored tonight. I turned on the television. The Matrix Reloaded is on, and while that's good for the highway scene, that's about all it's good for. There's stand-up on comedy central, but the guy is only marginally funny and I'm not really digging his voice. I even went so far to watch some of the Friends episode that's on ( Read more... ) -

an interesting documentary
I just got back from Anne's, and we watched another documentary. This one was called "This Is Nowhere," and it was about an apparently thriving subculture of RVers who more or less travel from wal-mart to wal-mart. I just spent about fifteen minutes trying to synopsize it for you my reading public, but I still don't know what to make of it. ( Read more... ) -

I'm all the way back to the sharks. In a tangent that didn't have much to do with evolutionary relatedness, he says that Thresher sharks have been known to decaptitate aggressive fishermen with one swipe of their tail. That's why sea monsters terrify me. -
clutter critical mass
So I hit the clutter threshold today, and just started buzzing around straightening things up. What I really want is one of those ionic air filterers. Do those really work? Anyway, they seem plausible. I need cleaner air in here ( Read more... ) -

So today was alright. I'm still a little sick, but I feel like I'm on the mend. That doesn't really stop my throat from burning with the pain of a thousand deaths whenever I swallow, but it does give me hope. An Interesting Story
So I went ahead and bought "The Anscestor's Tale" at The Strand while I was in New York. It's by Richard Dawkins, whose "The Blind Watchmaker" changed my brain for good.
