The Planets

I went to symphony last night! The Madison Symphony Orchestra performed a concert which included Holst's the Planets. They are very good. There were MOMENTS in the Planets, seriously. I wanted to jump out of my seat a couple times, and I had to remember that this was the symphony and not a drum corps show. But it was a wonderful performance.

I know how you felt about "jumping out of your seat." Your mother tries to calm me at high school concerts (like yours) when I pump my feet to the beat.

It's been a long time since I've heard any of The Planets, but I'm almost unable to be interested in music anyway.

I also still think it's strange that your old man follows LJ without making an account, so you can't reply.

Yeah, that kind of freaks me out, actually.

Jessica and I will be in town Saturday. Saturday evening I will probably be free.
