Sometime last year, Xuth and I agreed that we wanted to create a pathway next to our driveway that would serve as a way to reach the house when the driveway was in use that did not involve walking over the yard (or through snow, in the winter). Thanks! I'm fond of that one, in part because it was SO. MUCH. WORK. Getting the angles right and also there are WAY more sections to paint, and had to do part of a color problem so I didn't get the same color touching itself. Also I tried to do actual shading on it to emphasize the cube look. I was pondering drawing Q*bert on one of the bottom cubes but got distracted. I still could....

It actually was kind of emotionally difficult for me to let other people start walking on it after I'd finished laying everything. I'm better now. Also while taking pictures I was sweeping leaves off every few minutes, so it looks more like ground instead of like art.

That is truly awesome!!

I was going to say "now I want to make a walkway of quilt blocks," but then I thought about how much work it was and decided I'd rather make my quilts out of cotton.

Hee! Also you don't have to worry about not being able to work in rain and cold and dark if you stick to the cotton method. :)
