I am slightly surprised at how quickly uni's started and I got over the jet lag. Today was the last day of vac work. Unpaid so now I have very little money. I'll need to get a job quickly when I get back to Perth. Am having trouble packing my suitcase. Why do books have to be so heavy? I think I'll need to send a package by courier. Damn the weight limit ( Read more... )

Buses here have more standing space. They don't go "ding" when you press the stop button...though I think some go "honk". Also not all seats have a stop button in reach, which is annoying ( Read more... )

I have returned from the ski slopes with no broken bones...just a few bruises from the ski boots. For those who don't know ski boots are designed and created by the Devil. Aside from that going down mountains with long flat sticks stuck to your feet is fun. I want to go again ( Read more... )

I was in Paris this weekend. The lights were pretty (and I can't believe I had to look up how to spell pretty!!). The Champs Elysees trees had really cool lights, and I looked at the front and thought that the red and yellow lights in front were another cool light display, only to realise that they were actually cars in front of us. Have discovered the company I'm doing my vac work has an automatic stapler. When you slide a piece of paper under the stapling bit its staples without pressing a button. This is even better then the senser lights in the main hallway.
I will not staple every piece of paper I can find, just as I will not jump out of doors to turn on the lights. :)
