FINALLY
After what, a year of this round being finished? I finally got the piecing, sashing, and borders done on this block of the month. Though in my defense, I didn't sew for about six months because my husband and I bought our first house, moved, and then I had a baby.

Finished
I finally finished it(well I just have to flip the binding to the back) . I left out the block that wasn't a nine-patch and offset the others so they float

It was going to be one big quilt (adding 2 blocks to make a 4x5) but then I realized I don't like oranges and browns and I had no use for one big quilt either for myself or a gift, so instead it's been added to (total 24 blocks) to make two smaller quilts for the charity quilting project I participate in.

Round 5 - All Finished Blocks
I finally got all the blocks done and here they are all together. I did a basic 9 patch for one of the blocks to keep the 9-patch block theme consistent.

I'm really behind with these blocks, lol.

I've completely lost track of which month it is. But it's done. I figure that I can do a couple more permutations as filler blocks if needed as it is kind of a scrap user.

Block number 8
My apologies, friends. I posted the block and didn't check on it, and I didn't realize that something went wrong.
This block is one of my favorites. It makes a great scrappy quilt, or with a jelly roll. I'm working on my second quilt top, but it makes a great single block, too.

Months 8 and 9?
I keep thinking that I missed the post for the December block (month 8, should have been posted betwen 11/26 & 12/1), but I don't see it. We're coming up on the end of December, so the January block (month 9) should be posted soon.
Am I crazy? Even though I'm not able to participate at the moment, I am trying vey hard to keep our home page up to ( Read more... )
