England will go "smokefree" in a week. They follow Scotland, Wales, and Ireland down this path. Maybe France next??!

This legislation will help to prevent the unnecessary deaths caused every year from second-hand smoke, and recognises that there is absolutely no safe level of exposure.

One of the all-time great food legends died recently. Edwin Traisman led research into killing E. coli from meat, and pioneered the freeze-drying of french fries. This article tries to defend Cheese Whiz, which was another Kraft project that he worked on.

Next time I make it to the United States, I would hope to visit this new memorial for the Victims of Communism.
