Thanks to yall... I spoke to one of my midrasha teachers (The Bar Ilan midrasha) and he explained a few things to me (and said it was a good thing I asked). Basically he said that I should not be afraid when ppl say things like this. Even if Hebrew did develop from other languages, it doesn't lose its kedusha, because Hebrew and Am Yisrael did not appear from vacuum, but rather developed from the surrounding enviroment. That fact doesn't make Hebrew less holy. That's what I understood from him.
