How do you do that?

I am new to live journal and I wanted to make it friends only like yours, but this thing is so confusing, could you help me out?

When you make an entry, each time, you have to choose the "friends" tab at the buttom of the screen, which means only the people on your friends list can read it. If you choose "Public", anyone can see it, like this entry of example, and if you choose "Private", only you can read it.
