So, anyhoo, had my Covid jab last Friday at the local surgery.  I would normally walk there but as it was raining heavily, decided to drive.  Got there for my appointment bang on time - no queuing, just walked right in. Woo-hoo.  My local surgery has just called to book me in for my Covid jab next Friday.  Since I'm classed as 'clinically extremely vulnerable', I'm lumped in with the over 70's, not that I'm complaining.  I just hope the vaccinations will mean the start of the end of this plague - I'm ready to go back to normal, now.

Well, that was an unremarkable Christmas and an even more boring New Year. I usually spend Christmas day with my sister and her family, but of course that was called off this year, so spent the day alone. It just felt like any other day of the past few months. Just found out my sister and her husband have tested positive for Covid. They'd decided to take a few days break in Blackpool and when she got back, she started with a cough. I stayed away from her as I have health issues, but then she developed flu-like symptoms and her husband started to feel unwell, too, so I told her she should get the test, ( Read more... )

I’m not one for keeping fit, but I do like to take a walk. I walk most days, around 60-90 minutes each time, but yesterday it rained all day and I missed my little stroll.
